Technology Transformation · Applied AI & Governance

Chris Holinger

Leaders bring me in when a transformation has to land, not just get designed. I drop into complicated rooms, raise the hard problems, facilitate decision making, and get work shipped. Transformation, org design, and now AI, with controls that hold.

Builder, end to end

Founder, PainLog. Built it first for myself, then to build with frontier LLMs, designed with HIPAA requirements, and now offer it free for anyone who needs a clean symptom record to share with their doctor.

How I govern AI

Autonomy is earned, one rung at a time

Most organizations will put AI agents to work before they have the controls to govern them. I designed and run a governed multi-agent system for my own advisory practice, and through Result Horizon I've built a model that could be used in regulated industries. Agents climb this ladder only against a reviewed track record.

  1. Rung 0
ProposeThe agent drafts; a person decides and acts.
  2. Rung 1
Reversible actionsThe agent acts only where every action can be undone.
  3. Rung 2
Named safe domainsStanding permission in a defined lane, with controls enforced in code.
  4. Always
Human-onlySends, payments, deletions, and anything that exposes data wait for a person, every time.

Around the ladder: sensitive data lives in separate compartments behind retrieval gates, agents that read untrusted input are restricted from sending, and near-misses are logged to a hazard register, most with a rule or a code check against a repeat.
